What makes you think you could understand the answer as to why?
Does an infant understand why his parents do what they do?
So a human being, who can't even catch a fly with their own hands is going to understand the whys of God?

We can only interpret with the faculties we have available to us. Judging by the state of this world, it is not clear that an alleged god is necessarily benevolent. I think Epicurus said it best:
"Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?"
Yes, we're only human, but we have to make do with the cognitive capabilities that we have. Otherwise, we'd be squandering our "god-given" abilities.

Similar to the argument that if science can't explain something, then that's proof that god exists. Any gap in scientific knowledge is used as proof of god to these people. Meanwhile, science is constantly closing those gaps with new findings. Just because we don't know the answer yet, does not mean that one does not exist.

Oh, you would be pissed off at God the same way a 3 year old is pissed off at his parents for not giving them what they want, i.e. candy or something else that is harmful...you would think God is not fair the way children think their parents are not fair, or you might be pissed that God is does not come when you cry for God...but you would still love God if you believed God was your father no matter what kind of father you thought he was...simply because God is your father.

I did not refer specifically to the way "god" was "treating" me. Look around you. There is a lot to be thankful for. But not by everyone.
Judging by your response, you are destined to remain an uncomprehending 3-year-old, trying to understand and please a "father" you have never seen or spoken with, and cannot, by your own admission, even comprehend. But, hey, if that's what makes you happy...
On the other hand, why not just appreciate the universe for the marvel that it is, without inserting an unnecessary narrative. The narrative takes away from its magnificence and only adds clutter.
"God" appears to be the placebo of choice for those who cannot accept the world that is accessible to their senses. And however flawed you may think those senses are, they're all you've got. You may as well use them.
