Whether we evolved by random chance from non life is what we have been discussing. Now you are changing the subject. But, the subject is the lack of proof that life evolved from non life.
But to answer your question... many if not most Christians have no problem with evolutions.
A small fundmentalist sect insists they think for some reason they know the earth if 5000 or 6000 years old. Which is odd since they are supposed to follow the bible and the bible does not say that.
So for them evolution over millions of years is a problem. But it is not for most.
Besides if we have learned anything from science its that time is relative.
Jem it's not changing the subject, it is a god argument. As in most of these discussions, the break down is we don't know how life or the universe began therefore The only answer is God or in the Christians case Jesus/God did it. The argument has nothing to do with science it's about god.

If the argument has nothing to do with science then Darwin had nothing to do with science.
We are simply asking the question... did life evolve from non life here on earth.
Science's answer is varied...
Some scientists say no way.
Some say directed evolution
Some say they have no proof yet but they intend to show is it was a natural process.
What we do know, is that no person has show it how it happened, yet.
Why you wish to interject religion in that discuss is beyond me.
The reason we had this discussion is that I keep pointing out to emotional atheists like Stu, that when he asserts there is plenty of science showing life evolved from non life... he is an atheist crackpot.... similar to the religious crackpots he despises.
