First let's mention some history. Until the Baltimore Key Bridge collapse, one of the most expensive and most deadly bridge collapses in U.S. history was the Sunshine Skyway Bridge collapse in Tampa. This 1980 incident killed 35 people whose vehicles fell (including a Greyhound bus) when the bridge collapsed after being hit by a cargo ship.

Today Florida GOP politicians are in the forefront of demanding that not a single federal government dime be spent on re-building the Key bridge in Baltimore. Someone may want to mention to them the hundreds of millions of federal dollars spent to re-built the Sunshine Skyway Bridge.

Were these the same politicans who voted against Build Back Better but then bragged to their consituents about how they secured funds for their local communities?
