Every Loss is Permanent

Quote from Zr1Trader:

"Wealth isn't created or destroyed, only transferred. "
One of the most incorrect statements I've seen in this website. If all your wealth was converted to cash and I made a big bonfire out of that cash, that would be a complete destruction of your wealth.

Wealth isn't energy. It absolutely can both be created and destroyed.

Quote from kid.fx.cross:

I hear ya, It's like when your dog takes off on the full moon after some coyotes, and you figure, "Well, I'll never see him again."

and he shows up next morning on the porch, waiting for breakfast (with a few chuncks of his ear chewed off.)

Losing your dog is substantially different from losing your money. Dogs are unique, whereast money is not.

Dogs are differentiated products, whereast money is not.

no kidding

90% of all life just goes on inside your head

If you watch a man's life, it isn't that interesting

He wakes up, goes somewhere, does something, goes home and goes to sleep

Yet, some days seem to be quite exciting

and it all went on just inside his head

Wow! Now that was interesting, never thought of it quite like that.

So say I have 1 Trillion USD and burned it. It would make everyone elses USD worth a little more therefore transferring wealth to them at my expense.

There is only one pie and if my piece of the pie gets smaller, yours get's bigger vice versa.

I guess maybe our definitions of wealth may be the problem. I'm speaking about wealth of the whole world . Your talking about wealth of the individual

by the way Buffet is where I learned that saying. So he must be incorrect too?

Every time you lose money in trading that loss is permanent
If you really think about this the implications will shock you.

Not really....

The loss may be permanent

But it need not be lethal… nor even the least bit debilitating - tis one's choice - always

=============

Losing trades is simply one part of doin business

Best we not allow them to be the only..., or even a significant - part (meaning in such a manner as to be negatively impacting of course)

I agree, the more time you spend reading beyond this post the more time you have lost in your life.

GONE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wins and losses thrown into a bowl create a puddle it either all spills out or you need a bigger bowl, don't dwell on the wins or losses individually, just dwell on needing a bigger bowl
Your going to make me think. Ouch!
