That's a good point and why I try to post a quote from a recognized expert when I post. Even though I've been involved in
this business for 15 years, you don't know that.
So, if I see a question like..."How much should I risk on a trade?",
I'll usually say something like..."I wouldn't risk more than 2% of
my trading capital on a trade."
Then I'll add a quote like, "My experience with novice traders is that they trade three to five times to big. They are taking 5 to 10 percent risks on a trade when they should be
taking 1 to 2 percent risks" Bruce Kovner...(quote from Market Wizards, pg.82
