I remember that year well. I was 15 years old. I was on the football team and a few buddies invited me to play tag football with his friends from a neighboring high school football team. It was cold during the day but we were running around. Sometime in late afternoon, it got really cold so we decided to stop. On the way home, we had to walk a couple of blocks to the train. The temperature had dropped to like 30 degrees below zero Fahrenheit, and if you live in Chicago,you know that doesn't take the wind into consideration. The wind chill was estimated at like 40 below.
I walked maybe three blocks, and I thought I was going to die.
Science never predicted an ice age. When will you understand that? Why do you like staying ignorant and mistaken?
As outlined in the post above this video the large majority of scientific papers between 65 and 79 predicted global cooling.
The previous article I linked even provides the list of papers. Go read it and educate youself.
It's a video. Video's are for idiot righties that can't read. And it's wrong. There was no official consensus about where the climate was headed but the vast majority of papers predicted warming. Once again you are confusing the popular media with science. They are not the same. In addition you are not even comprehending what the video is saying. Yes, an ice age would return in ten thousand years, if we were not polluting the air with huge amounts of greenhouse gasses. But as it is now, no ice age can happen.
The fact is that around 1970 there were 6 times as many scientists predicting a warming rather than a cooling planet. Today, with 30+years more data to analyse, we've reached a clear scientific consensus: 97% of working climate scientists agree with the view that human beings are causing global warming.

Actually as per the article I linked at the top of this page 83% of the peered reviewed scientific papers in the period of 1965 to 1979 predicted global cooling. The article lists and summarizes all of the papers.
Go read the article and stop trying to mid-direct to the video.
