China air pollution far worse than thought: Study

The air in Beijing is so polluted that breathing it does as much damage to the lungs as smoking 40 cigarettes a day, says a new study...

...The report said air pollution in China kills about 4,000 people every day, about 17 percent of all deaths in China, but noted that connecting mortality to pollution is "complicated." The researchers adopted the methods for showing such associations from the WHO Global Burden of Disease study..."

Now this is seems like a real concern depending on what is in the air. My friend is married to a professor who did some epidemiological studies over in China. They seem to have very serious environmental concerns.

The worst part is that Obama's recent CO2 regulations are going to turn the U.S. into the next China.

The issue China is facing is hard particle air pollution - much of it from coal burning power plants.

The EPA has worked with electric utilities for over 20 years in the U.S. to install hard particle scrubbers on coal burning power plants to reduce U.S. hard particle pollution greatly.

Obama's CO2 regulations require electric utilities to remove the hard particle scrubbers and replace them with CO2 scrubbers. These CO2 scrubbers will allow most of the hard particle pollution to escape -- turning states such as North Carolina with a large number of coal burning electric plants into the next China.

Of course, Obama's intent is to force electric utilities to shut down the coal burning power plants. This isn't going to happen because there is no generation capacity available to replace them.

This will naturally lead to much greater hard particle pollution levels across the U.S. - effectively Obama's CO2 policies have made us the next China.

you have presented exactly zero peer reviewed science and you have not even provided a list of scientists who themselves state man made co2 is causing warming.

The reason is... is that there is no science saying man made co2 causes warming... that was not based on now failed models.

you can bullshit all you want.. but til you produce peer reviewed science... its clear you are bullshitting and you like juvenile gifs.

Ummmm, I know right wing nut jobs don't care about facts, but he never said that.

FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY… Al Gore Predicted the North Pole Will Be Ice Free in 5 Years

FIVE YEARS AGO TODAY—
Al Gore predicted the North Polar Ice Cap would be completely ice free in five years. Gore made the prediction to a German audience in 2008. He told them that “the entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years.”

Trying to Break the U.S. Energy System for Its Own Good
ARPA-E is trying to shake up the 100-year-old U.S. energy system

"The White House doesn't want anyone to panic over its new climate rules. Instead of marking a big shift, the Obama team believes the Clean Power Plan is piggybacking on trends already under way in the economy: Natural gas is killing off coal; solar and wind are cheaper than ever; state-level renewable energy and climate policies are spreading. Americans won't feel a thing.

That's why the head of the Environmental Protection Agency, in her first public appearance since the release of the climate plan, emphasized that the rules wouldn't cause a disruption for energy companies. "I don't expect that the energy industry is going to take a right turn," Gina McCarthy said last week..."

Actually, he got that from me, it was my intent first. Natural gas power generation is the future.

Mwahahahahaha...

No he didn't. Try a real source and his actual quote, in context. And he certainly didn't say "polarized". That would be something a dumb righty that reads trash would say.
