Quote from Mav88:
I was here when Paulson-Bush started the bailout, there were VERY few supporters of it, so stop with the strawman please. If anything, it is you Obama supporters that want to simplify the opposition so you can knock it down.
Obama supported the bailout and hired a wall street insider as his treasury chief, therefore the bailout is properly a Bush-Paulson-Obama-Geithner deal.
Stimulus was equally well opposed, as was the health care handout. I would say people like me have been pretty consistent. None of the three major actions benefit the majority really, none. Health care was all about caring for the uninsured minority, remember?
Afghanistan was almost universally supported, hell even the Germans are there, and Obama has actually ramped it up. So stop with the "bush wars" crap.
Iraq was the one thing you can call 'bush only'. Let's ring him up for say $1.5T on that one. Ok now compare that to stimulus, expanded welfare health care handout- which basically last forever, attempts at cap and trade, etc. and it's not even close. Obama is putting us in the hole deeper and far faster than Iraq ever did, it's so unusual even he says it's not sustainable. I oppose everything he has done, except getting tough with China and offshore drilling. On balance he is worth opposing on general principle because he is a leftist.
