There's also a fair bit of envy lurking underneath the surface...why they are envious? lately, I've got no clue...but the fact that they are so obsessed with the US speaks volumes...sort of like that deranged idiot Nine-Ender who shows up once a month with his absurd drivel.

No. I have no desire to live in the US. The gun culture alone is enough to keep me out. However, the Canadian economy is largely dependent on that of the US. US economic policy has a major impact on the Canadian economy. The US accounts for about three quarters of Canadian exports. And so, what happens in the US very much matters in Canada.
