Quote from AAAintheBeltway:
I know it is well past the time when anyone is going to be influenced by rational argument, but some of you really need to sit down and ask yourselves why you let the media manipulate you. There has been a clear media narrative this whole campaign, summarized pretty well by iceman. "Put aside any doubts about obama because he went to harvard law and is an articulate black man." That pretty much sums up the case for him. A lifetime of service by John McCain is brushed away as meaningless. He's old.
McCain has 30 years of government experience, and yes, is very old. If he does not pass away in office, he has a strong chance of developing age related dementia.
Obama has both public and private experience, his resume is not thin, he has been a director, an author, a state Senator, a US Senator, a lawyer, and so on.
So yes, Obama has a greater diversity of experience, and therefore a wider variety of experience, than McCain has.
Obama graduated at the top of his class at Harvard, and also went to Columbia. McCain did not, and graduated in the bottom five of his class of 899.
Palin went to six colleges in five years and scraped through a diploma from third rate schools.
There really isn't any comparison at all between the two candidates.
