Even Fox News runs the Palin Story...

Quote from Mercor:

Your assessment is fair. I am only comparing moral transgressions between Palin and Obama. It seems all of Palins shortcoming have been news for weeks and are treated as a negative against her character. Especially the situation with her daughter.

Yet, Obama admits to Felonies, felonies that many go to jail for 5-10 years. Yet this is considered a strength to his character.

Bottom line is they are human beings with pasts.

That is a copout statement if I ever saw one.

Bottom line is why Palin is knocked as a bad mother and Obama is looked at as maturing from his past.

Umm Obama is knocked ALL THE TIME. Palin has generated a lot of bad press mainly because she makes herself an easy target (via katie couric interviews). At a rally a few days ago Palin said he "pals around with terrorists". Obama's campaign executes their share of stupid attack ads too, but it simply can't be compared to the attacks on Obama lately. Palin's statement is so horrible in every way.

One question, and this isnt rhetorical, I really don't know: What has Obama's campaign said by way of negative ads etc, about Palins situation?

Bottom line: Obama's drug use is decades in the past, Palin's controversies are almost all current. Only a nitwit couldn't see the significant difference.

Also, Obama came clean on his own. You wouldn't even know about his drug use if he hadn't told you. Did Palin come forward with her abuse of power? No, she refused to cooperate with the investigation. And her story about her pregnancy with Trig still stinks to high heaven.

Obama is smart enough to let you guys do the dirty work.

I could care less about Palins stupid debacle.

The reason this country is going downt he toilet is because people look at shit like this, think about it for 20 seconds and then go vote the same way they did before, or some other equally stupid reason. Blame the politicians? They are incompetent sure, but more incompetent are those people who's apathy knows no limit. People that rely on stupid shit like this rather than real solutions to our problems. I'm not at ALL saying obamas supporters aren't like this..oh they are...the problem isnt with one party or the other, the problem is in the apathy and dimwittedness of the masses. It would be nice if you didn't contribute to that. By the way this is my first election, so yes I can thanks to you assholes who elected all these idiots (lib and conservatives). No I have all this debt to pay and God knows what else to deal with.

You guys? You mean we here at ET? No. You mean the liberal media? Or perhaps all those who aren't conservatives? Fence-sitting independents who decided to vote for Obama after Palin was chosen?

Yes, it's the fault of all these groups.

What a joke. Face it - Palin is a disaster. I said here that I did not think Obama had a snowball's chance to win this election, that America simply wasn't ready for a black man named Obama in the White House. If he manages to pull this off, Republicans can point straight to the day that Palin was nominated as the beginning of the end. It's not just her qua her. It's the fact that she set the tone for the rest of it. Mitt Romney would have at least let them put up a credible fight, market meltdown notwithstanding.

What was it that McCain said about Palin? 'She knows more about energy than anyone in this country'?

I mean, enough said. They were popping the champagne corks at Republican central the night Obama accepted the nomination. I'll bet they're in there now, scurrying around and trying to figure out who to blame for what's happened.
