Europe’s Economy Grew Faster than U.S.

“Economic growth in the 19 countries that use the euro currency was 2.5% in 2017… Growth in the 28-member European Union also reached 2.5% last year,” CNN reports.

“It’s the best period of growth for both groupings since 2007, putting Europe just ahead of the 2.3% expansion posted by the U.S. in 2017.”

So are you admitting that this first years growth is due to Trump even though you've been denying it for a year? Because if you are, then you have to admit the 4.1% decline that happened in Obamas first year was all Obamas fault.

If you're saying that the 4.1% decline was inherited from Bush, then you have to admit Trumps first year was inherited from Obama and this report is basically saying all of Europe beat us because Obama sucked. So which is it?

That's right, buddy. Checkmate.

No, where did I 'admit' that? I am pointing out that Trump is taking credit for a economy IN EUROPE that's growing slower than EUROPE.

He is also trying to boast about jobs growth that is SLOWER than Obama's.

Yes, the guy is THAT dumb. Any other President would be mocked for it but this presidency is beyond parody.

And by the way, this is not how you play chess, you ASSUME how someone would move their pieces, make a series of strawmans and then declare victory.

Reminds me of Costanza playing chess.

Uhm.. pretty sure the US GDP annual growth rate has outperformed Europe's in the past 8 years. Which has mainly to do with the rate of recovery from the GFC and the fact that usually the US leads other major economies. So that definitely doesn't have anything to do with Trump, but more with the Obama era.

What is good about this is it is nice to have healthy trading partners again. The Europeans lagged in growth Post Great Recession because they took an austere approach. Asian growth is healthy too.

What is concerning is the US savings rate is getting lower while debt is growing. That is not good for a consumer driven economy. It seems like we have moved into an irrational exuberance phase and that can be dangerous.

By posting this in politics, you've admitted it.

I posted facts, nowhere did I mention Trump, let alone crediting him for anything.

Imagine this, an idiot walks into Harvard's graduation ceremony and brags about his son getting into city college, now relate it to politics.

All your posts are anti-Trump. Even your picture is anti-Trump. If this was non-Trump related, you could've posted this in economics.

It was a political post because Trump supporters like yourself were pushing a false narrative on the economy.
