For 3 yrs I was trading the US markets, mostly the eminis, believing I was trading the ultimate thing. Now I've discovered that I'm actually sitting on top of the ultimate trading vehicles - the DAX, ESTX50, CAC40 and not to forget the footsie!

(I still enjoy the eminis as well...)

ESTX50 is much smoother than e-mini's, i.e. this morning it runs up almost straight 100pts.

1contract - ditch said it. And that goes for the DAX as well - actually the DAX is awsome. But as it invites to huge profits, it also put you in danger of severe losses. But the main thing for me when I started out in Europe as an addition to the US markets, I suddenly had so much more time and opportunities for good setups. In other words - I managed to cut down on my previous overtrading - which of course is one of many factors necessary to become successful.

I have just looked at the Stoxx 50 futures chart for today,sx2z, it's hopeless.......no volume.
I trade dax and ftse and agree with you about dax a great contract
