Interesting. But as for the semi industry, I do not understand NXPI will take a big hit even though its exposure to China is big, what is the choice if China do not buy from NXPI, simply there is no other choice but only from a limited small number of over-sea counties. So, the result might be just on the other side of the coin.
Also as for commercial air planes, if China do not buy from Air Bus or Boeing, what else they can do, do they buy from Russia? I doubt it. Build their own, they are not ready yet. Even they have plan to build their own C919, but most of the key components including the engine are from other countries.

Their trade deficit with China is only 1/2 of the US, they also have a surplus with the US so it is smart to let Trump do the fighting for everyone.
