Sounds good to me, and to Europe I bet. Europe spends about $300 billion a year on the military, so they have no need for the US to "help."
But, hopefully the next time somebody farts loud, Europeans won't hit the ground, wave their hankerchiefs and call us. Because, just maybe we'll be putting all that military money into windmills and electric car infrastructure. You know, taking care of ourselves for a change.
If the country cut the military budget (including military retirees) from half of every tax dollar to 25 cents over many years, nobody would notice, and there would be zero impact on the security of the US.
