Eurodollar Futures (GE)--anyone else trading these?

Anyone trading GEz05/GEz06?

You guys that use TWS. Are you using the spread trading function on Zerolinetrader?

You are basically trading interest rates. Why not spread emÕ Ed/Ed?
Dude's talking about TED spread. Takes a lot of thinking to trade it, but it's a pretty interesting tool.

Ib margins these as spreads? Correct? I cant see anything on Ib's website. They must give the 150 dollar margin.

As I originally said, I trade ED intraday and I don't do spreads, I take outright positions in the the first few months up to SEP05...there is increasing volume and volatility of late and this makes for an intraday traders dream...I look for very short term momentum plays ie: breakouts, figure related movements etc...

Hi TL,

What are the months you are currently focusing/ trading? Are there any good reasons for why not trading other months?

Re: Eurodollar futures on CME best time to trade?

Hello,

I consider to start trade Eurodollar futures on CME (now trade Dax) and I wonder if there are any experienced Eurodollar traders that can tell me when is the best time to trade this instrument ? ( I am located in London and thus GMT applies).

Are there special times one should avoid trading the Eurodollar? For example, Dax is most of the time not worth trading between 10.30 and 13.30 and after 17.00 due to liquidity and general dullness at these times. Do Eurodollar inhibit dullness and shrinkage of volatility at reoccurring times of the day, if so when?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Would like to know the above which was originally a question from FlyTrade.

XPRESSTRADE offers trading not only in Eurodollar futures at the CME, but also at the Singapore Exchange (SGX), and the two contracts are fully fungible (meaning, a long position in Chicago can be used to offset a short position in Singapore).

UQ

Thanks for the feedback. Do you think that the above "Fungible" feature would not be much (frequently) useful?

Back in 2004, the SGX could do 1m contracts per month, but the business was killed by Globex offering the contracts around the clock.
In March this year, SGX volume was 3,000 for the whole month, so this isn't going to be much use to anyone.
