Very good question, dollar falls futures and equities rise, dollar rises futures and equities barely show losses. Doesn't make much sense.

I am losing a few hundred $ in a long euro position * small *

but if it goes lower it will drag my gold short lower and I shall

more than make up for it's losses

Standard & Poor downgrade Greece sovereign debt, no direct impact on USA yet.

Will need to wait to see If DAX & FTSE goes down later today when European Market opens. If they go down then Spoo can go down in sympathy.
