EUREX HUB in Miami anyone?

Quote from esmjb:

go ahead banana, call the eurex tech support... tell me what they tell you!
I know the asnwer to my question.

Are you going to have a stab at answering it?

Quote from esmjb:

sure, i will promptly answer YOUR question as soon as you tell me what tech support tells you!
What do I need to ask them for you? I don't know why you can't ask them yourself.

banana,
please dont post here if you dont know what you are talking about. i've traded on eurex in chicago, london and paris and also remotely 1000 miles away from a hub. there was no difference in speed between chicago, london and paris which coincidentally all have hubs and if im not mistaken 2 of them are on the other side of the pond. when i traded remotely with a 30ms delay (yeah i did the math) i was unable to move in and out of the market as i like to.

perhaps you should look up the word "hub" on the eurex website. you seem to think its a funny word. again, please dont post ignorance here, im trying to accomplish something positive.

Since there is a hub in Helsinki (for christs sake, how much volume can possibly pass through there???)

Quote from esmjb:

i have no idea but i think it costs less than half a mil to build one which is a drop in the bucket for eurex. they have to see there is demand to build one in miami for them to spend it though.

dont you think they saw a demand in helsinki then??

i "feel you" (as a high frequency scalper) that there could be one located in miami tho.

zastaber,
the point i was trying to make with helsinki was that there cant be that much volume passing through there thus meaning there wouldnt need be a need to show MASSIVE demand to build one in miami, just that there is a demand. please spread the word about showing support for a miami hub...

What did they tell you??

ps

I'm very much in favour of you and your chums getting an access point in Miami.

Have you asked them yet?
