Has anyone received further information on ways to approach CHF-related losses at IB?
Also, does anyone know of the exact times that IB dis-allowed trading in CHF pairs? I received a note that morning stating that they had ceased trading abilities for clients and that they could resume them at any time without telling me.
Any information that the group has gathered will be much appreciated!
 
Any update from the victims of last year CHF move? Have you been able to reduce the amounts due to brokers? I am often thinking about you guys. I sincerely hope it didn't ruin your lives.

Well the time the swiss central bank set a cap (1 eur equals at least 1.20 chf if I recall properly ) on the CHF value against the euro, rather than pegged it to the euro, the CHF crashed, and violently if I recall properly, that was a little while before when they removed that cap, when several posters in this thread lost quite a bit of money.

I played the "cap" trade just one time, a few month after they applied it, buying @ 1.2 and selling @1.22 or so. I don't pretend it was the wisest trade( especially those who did it later in2014 and 2015 ), but I can understand all the people who got caught. Now I avoid those artificial pricing trades like the plague...
