ETF's and Direct Purchase

I was reading an article back in August/September that was talking about the Nasdaq offering shares (through a transfer agent) of QQQQ for direct purchase (no commissions) for ongoing monthly investments.

I am a huge fan of direct stock purchase plans and am interested in this offering as well as any other opportunities to buy ETF's with relatively no commissions. Has anyone heard when the Nasdaq will be offering this?

Does Powershares or Ishares anticipate offering something similar? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

I agree 100%. Everything they talk about on that forum is credit card debt and maxing out your 401(k). It is absurd. This site is a lot better but I don't really have the time to read all the old postings so I miss out on alot of conversations.
