Et Teabagger Thread

Quote from traderNik:

Wait a sec... his banker friends? So he's no longer a commie/socialist intent on the redistribution of wealth, and an enemy of the wealthy? Now he's acting in support of his 'banker friends'?

Which one is it?

Seriously, you guys need to have a meeting and get the party line straight.

C'mon, now, Obama haters!! You have to admit that this shows the right just has a hate on for Obama and it's not for any reason other than....you know...

quite a non-defense ...

in all honesty, everyone can agree, defending yourself isn't your strong suit

A left wing extremist with a hard on for intimidation and acting like a dictator?! NO WAY!! I just can't believe it!!! LOL!

Quote from fkbsuhites:

I know your "moderator" status allows you to abuse your privileges,

If I were a moderator I would be VERY CAREFUL with the assertions I make.

A simple letter to Baron from a well known law firm has been proven to do wonders to get him to remove "moderator privileges".

He won't think twice of jeopardizing his website because of the illegal actions of a immigrant moderator.

You're in America now buddy. We don't tolerate the gestapo here. Take that shit back to where you came from.

I usually have a lot of time after the first hour of market open. It's utterly stupid neanderthals like you that I take money from. And it feels damn good.

Care to put up 25K and I'll show you real time?

No need for hind sight posts or audits.

REAL TIME TRADING.

Put up or SHUT THE FUCK UP forever.

How do you know:

1. is not in this country?
2. has no vote.
3. proof of #1 required.
4. right wing bias.
5. right wing opinion.

I don't. He doesn't seem to want to answer the "where are you from" question that others asked him. Therefore, I believe he's not American. Any American would admit so as there is absolutely no reason not to.

Only someone not American would repeatedly ignore the question like he does.

LOL! Legal letter?

Go for it.

You're a total moron. Not only have I not done anything, but I cannot DO anything even if I wanted to.

If I didn't know better, I'd think you were c-kid. That's how stupid your posts are. Why don't you do a little surfing around the web to check out internet privacy legality. Then read up on ET's Privacy Policy:

http://www.elitetrader.com/privacy.cfm

This section, specifically, might be of note:

Aggregate Information
We collect Aggregate Information about you and your use of our Site whenever you visit us online. For instance, we may collect various forms of "click stream" information such as entry and exit points for our Site (i.e., referring URLs or domains), site traffic statistics, page views, impressions, and operating system and browser type. In addition, when users request pages on our Site, our servers may log their IP addresses. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web.

We may collect, compile, store, publish, promote, report, sell, or otherwise disclose or use any and all Aggregate Information, provided that, such information does not personally identify you.

This is what you voluntarily signed up for. And what you voluntarily continue to come back to the site, each time, to provide.

Incidentally, I wasn't even the one asking you the question about your locality (which you refused to answer).

Only someone not American would repeatedly ignore the question like he does.

False. Your logic does not follow, as you are generalizing.

Truth is, that you do know if his IP is from this country, right?

So you do know if his IP is in this country or not, but you don't know if he is an American, as he could be an American or not.

You stated your list as fact...I am just pointing out that it is not a list of known fact at all...it is just presumption.

The ET goons over the years have accused me personally of all kinds of nonsense and falsehoods, and I never answered their inane demands directly to tell them they were right or wrong...beyond stating that their claims were false, as in the case of Mom0, who was one of the biggest liars I have ever witnessed at ET. The guy simply could not win on the truth, so he made shit up constantly. He could never support his claims with fact of any kind.

Demanding to know where someone is from is childish, and invasive. If someone does not want to reveal their identity, that is their choice. It is none of the other members business.

What the primitives around here don't really understand is that the anonymity we have serves a very valuable purpose. No one can deny that the ad hominem fallacy is used at ET as quickly as possible in discussions. People use the personal information someone shares to attack that person. "He is Canadian, he doesn't have the right to comment on the USA. He is from France, how dare he talk about America. He is a lawyer, so he is scum."

Well, the lawyer is scum is generally true. :D

Etc, etc., etc.

Imagine the opportunity for someone to sharpen their critical reasoning skills and the ability to argue on the facts logically, rather than employ personal attacks.

If you don't know who someone is, if you don't know anything about them...all that is left to do if you don't like their argument, is to attack the argument!

So, I applaud anyone who doesn't want to reveal whom they are. Privacy allows for less personal attacks, and more for solid reasoned argumentation on the point at hand.

Apparently you don't understand the value.

Had "Deep Throat" not been afforded anonymity, Trickie Dickie might have gotten away with it.

Look at it this way...if no personal information were ever given by anyone, personal attacks would not be possible...

Quote from PatternRec:

Imagine if the elimination of internet anonymity became law?

I hope it does one day. It will certainly clean it up.
