I actually got some update and found out that it's Spitzer's office doing the investigation not SEC. But I don't know what the scope of the investigation is.

Yes Metooxx I have some friends who have money invested directly with madoff but I don't know in what manner. I guess the advantage of it is that if they are concerned they should take their money out if and when something goes wrong there. Better safe than sorry ala bayou.
