But that's not the way this sytem works.
You're missing what I'm saying.
Even if you DON'T read anything in a particular thread, it assumes that you have after you log off.
Try it yourself - let someone start a new thread today, but don't go read it, and make a note of which one you're gonna check tomorrow and the time that you log off. Now tomorrow, go to that thread and click the yellow flag, and it'll take you to the first post AFTER you logged off last night.
At least, that's how it works for me.
Or maybe it's a browser setting I need to alter? I'm NOT tech savvy enough to know whether or not this is the issue.
