Et Need To Become A Paying Site

How about this

Everything is still free but to be able to post let's just say a $1 ET charge just to get you on file
There's also a 3 strikes rule and once you're out it's gonna be tuff for you to get back in to post unless you get someone elses credit info with a different last name then the one that is already on file

This will clean up ET bigtime, make it free except for the $1 one time charge for anyone that wants to post just to get you on file, still have all the members to satisfy the advertisers, just now the 200-400 people that post frequently we be on their best behavior

The Motley Fool site went from free to pay a couple of years ago. There was a noticeable decrease in posters. Of course, that may have been due to the fact that the site sucked wind anyway (except for a couple of good discussion boards). I'd be willing to bet that most of the MF refugees came to ET and/or started their own Yahoo discussion groups.
