I was chatting in telegram and made mention of an ETer from the last decade who was an early adopter of BTC and really evangelized it here. I chatted with him (as atticus IIRC) in PM a few times and he sent me a screenshot of his mining at the time and he had mined something approaching 33K coins, or a combo of bot/mined, no matter.

All that I know is that all of his coins were from a cost-basis <$12. IOW, he was still mining and the figure was $12 when we last chatted.

I've never held more than 500. I was not an early adopter (under $100 BTCUSD). I was atticus (here) BTW, not the guy I am asking about.

The most I ever had was about 375 BTC, which is about $21 million in today's market, but like most others, I sold some along the way and I lost some due to hacks and exchange fails like Mt. Gox.

I read about one guy that put all his savings in BTC. Something like $60k, but this was at the very beginning...sub $1.
