ESPN's Public Editor Admits Net's Leftward Bias Driving Away Viewers

I was surprised to see this, but it is certainly consistent with my impression. ESPN is essentially unwatchable now unless you are some sort of SJW loser dweeb. They have a monopoly on annoying assholes who want to shout in our faces about everything from the usual racial guilt tripping to bathrooms. They gave an ESPY for "courage" to Caitlyn Jenner and fired Curt Schilling for some rather mild comments.

Of course, the rot starts at the top. They are owned by Disney, just like ABC. Disney has made a lot of money over the years, but pushing a far left political line seems to have become their biggest priority now. ESPN has been very profitable for them but now is losing viewers, plus they are very vulnerable to cable cutters.

ESPN had basically a monopoly for a long time. Now there is Fox Sports, NBC Sports, CBS Sports, plus Tennis and Golf Channels. All have more interesting programming than ESPN.

Like many guys on this site, in the 90's and 00's if my tv was on there was a good chance it was on ESPN. SportsCenter and PTI were can't miss tv.

Then came the in-your-face LIBERAL AGENDA-
Drunken Eagles WR Riley Cooper said the N word at a concert and it was leading news for weeks.
The plight of the black athlete took over programming.
Started tuning in less.

The Michael Sam saga was the capper for me.
A slow, weak, tweener LB/DE who was embarrassingly AWFUL at the combine somehow got drafted and they covered the story 24/7 for an entire year. They even gave him an ESPY for "courage"!!
(Never mind that if he wasn't gay he would never have even been drafted!!!)

By the time Bruce Jenner started wearing dresses and got his ESPY, I had long since stopped watching ESPN programming (only exceptions were Monday night football and the EURO Cup).

True story- I actually tuned in one afternoon last year while eating lunch and they had a panel discussing Cam Newtons MVP caliber year. Within 30 seconds of me tuning in for the first time in years, one host says "the reason people don't like Cam's TD celebrations is because he's black!"
I couldn't grab the remote fast enough!

I can't wait until they unbundle my sports package. All I need is NHL and NFL networks and FS1. Will cancel all ESPN channels first chance I can.

ESPN had a monopoly on sports programming, but their liberal agenda became their downfall.
