Esignal

Hi Everybody,

Does anybody use ESignal? I have not started trading
at the moment. However, I am thinking about
subscribing to the ESignal service. At the moment
I am thinking about the following: ESignal Pro +
NYSE, AMEX, NASDAQ+LII. Can anyone recommend any
additional services e.g. news or futures services , that they
have use/used and liked and would be useful.
I am interested in stock and futures trading.

Good luck to you all trading this week,

Regards,

Splat

Hi Splat

Welcome to the wonderful world of trading. Esignal is pretty good. I've used it in the past. Am now using Qcharts which is about the same. Realtick is a little better but also a little more expensive. Those three are about the best. Good luck.

Thanks for your input. I have heard that ESignal is one of
the best datafeeds. I had been planning to use Tradestation
6 but after seeing the Q/A's on these forums regarding
their services etc, I have been quite put off. My plan now is
to move to Realtick when I am ready to start trading - probably towards the end of the year - I have heard some very good things
about Realtick

My ultimate aim is to use the esignal feed for educational
purpose and data analysis to develop an automatic trading
system. I plan is to use wealth-lab/matlab for this purpose.

Thanks for the link - checked it out. Interesting tho I dont think
I am that interested in it currently.

wild,
you must be referring to their Data Downloader feature? I hear you can download EOD and delayed intraday data at no extra cost (including futures)? Any good?

frankly, i am a very satisfied eSignal user but admittedly not a computer & data transmission expert ... the new "advanced charting" ( www.esignal.com/beta/advanced.asp ) looks quite impressive and the data seem to be complete & clean to me.

as far as ensign is concerned i have heared a lot of favourable comments on it but haven´t had a reason to use it myself so far.

Out of interest, do you use their scanner service? I tried the
web version for month - I had to pay for it - tho you can try
the scanner version that integrates into the esignal frontend
for free. I coudnt use that because at work we have port
blocking :( I found the scanner service to be quite good.
Anyway since then I have found a way round
the port blocking :D

since i only trade futures (mainly CME currencies, CBOT bonds & NYMEX crude) i regret to not be able to answer your question in a serious manner ... have played around with the scanner out of curiosity though.
