Esignal outage

Quote from JMowery1987:

I'm more interested in why it happened in the first place.
A meteor struck several satellites and knocked them out during its descent... then struck France and wiped it out.... so it wasn't all bad

How do we know when esignal system has stabilized and data /charts are working correctly?

Can you push a message to users, like a pop-up box?

still not working. Couldnt get thru their service line. Our Tech guys just announced that esignal is still working on the issue and no ETA was given.

finally up....took long enough.

...as the actress said to the bishop....

Mine has been up and down like a whores drawers. Given up on esignal for the day. Broker feeds are working fine though.

If spending an extra $500 per month for a decent setup becomes a stomach churning decision then you should not be trading.

It all depends on you account size. A trader with $20,000 should not spend $500.00 per month. That is 30% annually of your account equity. Two percent annually of your account equity should be dedicated to trading tools. Trading is a business treat it like one. A trader with 20k should use IB's API with Sierra Chart or Ensign. A trader with 250k can use CQG.

My rule of thumb? Once a vendor flakes out, I'm done using that vendor for the duration of the day. I won't return to them until the next session. Let them have plenty of hours to shake out what's wrong.
