eSignal lag on ES

I left eSig 2.5 years ago...

Use DTN iqfeed...

Use NeoTicker With That...

works fine...

NeoTicker is professional multi threaded product... forum and email support only no phone... 1300+ but i am happy with it...

with iqfeed it stays even with IB snapshots... which is amazing

eSig does not work on the quality of product... their business model is to buy out the competition and raise their rates...

quote.com... etc...

Even when you go on there mesage board and try to ask question they all say do a search and then research on how to fix the problem . The moderators say they arent employed by esignal and its not there job to teach you . I gave up trying to figure out how to make efs. I just pay some one to do it.

I really need to get my efs indicators converted to another company .
Esignal sucks .

Any word on someone who can convert efs to other platforms .

Tradestation's easy language is very simple to use. You might want to give them a try.

Well I cancelled esignal yesterday after being a customer for 4 years. I was paying $370 a month for all the exchanges I needed. The rep told me yesterday that I had a lower rate and that if I came back in the future it would be higher. I told him that the problems over the last 2 weeks have been unacceptable and that if they ever fixed their product and felt good about it again to email me and I would reconsider. I am now learning cqg software now and to be honest esignals software and the ability to make a layout "pretty" is better than cqg. It will probably take me a few weeks to get cqg to look like the esignal layout that I have been staring at for the last 4 years. My price for everything I need on cqg is $780 a month. It hurts but I think in the long run its worth it.

wow, thanks for sharing that realistic and honest experience, you are definetly not alone....

there were a number of comments on this thread and others, where the customer base has been with them from the late 1980's, in particular when they were IDC (Interactive Data Corp, before Quotrek, and before eSignal name).

I recall the hand held video game with antenae (in current terms), which was their radio device that transmitted realtime index and quote data. Its amazing how far its come, however, there definetly are changes between their support levels now and what it used to be, even under the prior version 8.x.

Perhaps their servers cater more to their institutional clients instead of the retail individual customer, perhaps more catering to their software groups instead of the individual retail customer.

Pity those of us who need eSignal data for more than one application and instead of taking the specific group discount, have to have an individual accout to provide data to multiple applications.

Pity those who are comparing PATS data to the eSignal data stream and noticing a significant lag in the time and sales data, which happens to be some of the smallest packets of data updates to transmit, and comprises a significant percentage of requested data when doing either level 2 or level 3 or emini high volume contract analysis.

IDC really has an interesting challenge upon its hands, and I hope they respond to a satisfactory degree with their customer and prospective customer bases.

Don't hold you breath!!!
They have been full of unfilled promises for years!

CQG provides access to various levels of tick data. The premium packages go as deep as 7 years of tick data accross all markets.

Custom indicators, conditions and custom studies can be built by the users using a simple to learn CQG language or with the help of CQG support personnel. Don't be afraid, give them a call and you will get assistance you may need.

Do you need any additional info on CQG?

Can you export the data to ASCII, like eSignal? Can I subscribe to the extended intraday data, and just export 5 years to a file?

Some interesting news yesterday from a guy using eSignals institutional feed. After todays lag on eSignal using their retail product I am thinking about trying their institutional feed to see how it compares after his input. This trader told me that he has no lag what so ever with the institutional feed and has 24/7/365 Technical Support if he needs it. Mind you he pays more money per month for it. He said eSignal screw their retail clients hands down and DONT CARE OR REACT TO THEIR COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SOFTWARE. I had to use a cheap $25 per month platform for todays action cause eSignal lagging WAS A JOKE AS USUAL. I will give traders here my honest opinion using their Institutional Feed if they want. I would have dropped eSignal but unfortunately I need their Tick Data. Any other traders here know what other data providers have the Tick Data eSignal has?
