Who here uses e-signal ? I am currently looking from switching from Qcharts (which i have found to be nearly useless and very laggy), esignal runs about the same price, but what do they have to offer that qcharts doesn't ? By the way I am loooking at the basic equities package, but by taking that package would I be missing out on certain things ? For example I heard esignal has a replay feature in which you can watch things unfold in a quicker manner than they would have.

The Equities Basic platform has what they call 'standard charting' which is very limited. The Equities platform (which I think is about $40/mo more) has advanced charting, which is much more customizable. I'm pretty sure that if you went with the Basic platform, you'd be taking a step backward from Qchart's charting.

I'd suggest you contact our sales group and start with a trial of eSignal w/Advanced Charting. That way, you'll see both Standard and Advanced charting and if by chance, Standard charting suits your needs, you can always downgrade.

Esignal is very good, imo. I have the equities pkg by the year and it only comes out to 70 or 80 bucks a month. The advanced charting is good and getting better all the time. If they dont have an indicator you want you can get someone to write an efs for you. While im at it if esignal tech reads this how about getting someone to program Dunnigan Bars for advanced charts. There is a study out there call Dunnigan upthrust but I would like to have plain Dunnigan bars, red up bars, green down bars and yellow inside bars. Being able to spot those inside bars easily is a great tool.

If you are a serious chartist, you'll want our Advanced Charting. For ex: in our Standard Charting, yes you can draw trendlines but they aren't saved. You can change settings and there's really no limit to the # of windows you open, aside from your PC's limit and perhaps the symbol count you subscribe to.
If you're curious, we can always turn on Advanced Charting for you to test.
