ES Volume Leads Price

Quote from jack hershey:

Could a person actually just get on the ball and skip all the preconceived notions about everything and just go for getting the job done in a critical path way?
I submit this excerpt for your consideration.

Note the use of "get on the ball," "preconceived notions", "getting the job done," and "critical path."

By my count those buzz-phrases comprise twelve -- count 'em -- twelve words out of the thirty words in that sentence!

Loose translation: Could a person just do something and do something about everything and just do something in a certain way?

Quote from trader225:

BB, this is the 3rd time I know of that Jack has taken you to the woodshed.

Woodshed?

People choose and as they do they grow.

BB has taken many steps. So now he is profitable to the extent he wishes to be.

He trades in several ways with portions of his capital.

People grow as they wish.

There are many forks in the road. Some of them lead to dead ends.

What would it be like for you ,were you to do some reasoning and it lead to some growth?

No one is ever too whatever to be able to grow. They may have consequences of their past efforts and not be able to travel some paths, but they can, at least, broaden their horizons.

You are now just someone who has fallen below the radar, sufficiently that you are a small part of the noise in the ET signal to noise ratio. You are simply one of the small costs for ET staff to do business.

Others here, earn their keep.

Jack, if you're doing business here you need to become a sponsor. Pay your fees!

Quote from jack hershey:

What happens before volume and price are considered?

What is the place to look and to deal with that leads to volume happening?

Not sure what you are getting at. Can anything happen before price and volume? Just price and volume formations, locations. There are news and fundamental (earnings announcement, etc.) events. There are price points some cluster stops around.

For volume leading price, on the smallest level of price and volume you have orders hitting the bid and ask on the DOM. One side needs to be eaten up for movement. A constant order volume "could" keep hitting one side. Then it would depend on how fast new limit orders are added to that side, to determine if it is eaten up.

If there is a relative balance maintained on the bid and ask levels. Then you would have to have an increase in volume (vs. constant) to continue eating up that one side and move prices. If there's no volume, neither side can move.

Is this along the right track?

What EXACTLY does that statement mean...? "Scalping is not done off of Price Charts..?"

Quote from jack hershey:

Neither

Scalping is not done off price charts.

ET may not have a scalping oriented forum as yet.

Quote from trader225:

Like father, like son, huh?

Don't worrry, BB. You often have some worthwhile trading insights.

What, me worry?:) If he was my father it would not be as much fun. I would already be rich . My greatest happiness lies in getting there.:

You don't know Jack!
He might have disinherited you. His own son!
