ES volume criminally low today.

ok, so I guess 2/3 of the volume during our afternoon hours comes from foreign daytraders working at 4am their time.

Neither news flow nor action among overseas markets have given much guidance -- Europe's bourses remain closed for holiday observance and many of Asia's major averages wrestled with varied degrees of selling pressure overnight.

IWM volume is < 50% avg, SPY-1/3 of avg vol. make me think that most of the volume on US exchanges is not from US ..
 
I`m surprised people are surprised by this :p

It`s still a holiday in Europe, so I deliberately took the day off expecting low volume and small (if any) directional movement.

Only bots playing back and forth :)

Just like Thursday (markets in Europe were closed that day as well).
