Does anyone know of software that will do this?
jboydston,
Go to
http://www.google.com search engine and do a search on the following words or similar...
"Portfolio Tracking Software"
"Portfolio Database Software"
"Daytrading Database Software"
or any combo of words. I played around with some of these words.
What ever you find...seems you may have to pay a pretty penny for it.
I'm not a programmer...but wouldn't any data providor that allowed downloading intraday data into a spreadsheet or database be suitable?
Then...from within your spreadsheet or database you could input your trades that produce a basic chart or different types of graphs (pie charts, histograms and fancy stuff) to show what time you most likely enter trades during a given time period, how much, where profits are occuring, where losses are occuring and so on.
Yet...if your just looking for a chart that contains your indicators that automatically annotates for you where you Enter and Exit...I don't think they exist or are only something thats programmable (will cost a lot or are part of some professional management tool).
Thus...like most of us...scrolling...typing some comments on the chart and then saving the chart as a .gif file is the only solution. Therefore, get a really good screen capture tool.
Another option is to get your own website and make an individual webpage from a template where you upload your annotated charts and trading notes, copy & paste broker statements...
then just post the link here to the specific page for that trading day.
Don't get some cheap homepage that when readers log onto are slammed with pop-up ads, secret spy programs being input into registry files on our computers and so on.
Good luck in the search. If you find something suitable...let us know what it is.
