Thinking about giving the E-minis a try. I have traded only equities and options for the last five years. What are the execution charges ET members pay for trading these Globex products.

That depends on your broker. IB charges $2.40/contract each way (any order type) plus exchange fees.

I stand corrected. I forgot that it's usually the datafeed provider that levys those fees. Also, not to be a cheerleader, but I've had nothing but great executions with IB. No complaints here.

What does any "order type mean"? thanks in advance.

By oredr type I believe he means..IB charges the same for market orders , stop orders etc.


I've been using www.greentreetrading.com for the last month or so. Using the J-Trader platform. You can contact them about rates. So far I have no complaints at all. Executions are like lightening. They always have staff in their chatroom or on the 1st ring of the phone to answer any questions.
