Quote from Hooti:

NoDoji was a frequent poster for several years. Do a search on her name.
No Book. She just worked her way from a major losing novice... lost half her account... like, 10's of thouands, but she shared quiet openly her journy and process of finding her way.

I may not end up trading in practice trading like her, but in concept, via her sharing she is a hero to me, and a mentor. I learned so much from her.

She is big on price action and a book by Al Brooks.

Thanks. Just did a quick search on ET and yes i find postings by her. I guess I will have to read through some of her postings as it seems everyone here agrees that she is a very good trader and also has some rules.

Can anyone point towards a place which mentions her rules btw, if it is not too troublesome ?

Quote from Laissez Faire:

Writing succinctly is a skill I don`t posess, but in essence, what I meant is to lower your frequency and execute when everything lines up perfectly according to your methodology wihch should be based on back-testing and forward-testing.

As an example, there are many times I have an idea about where price is going, but I do not have something strong to lean on to provide me a low-risk entry. Those trades, I do my best to pass.

For me, and this is reflecting my current development mind you, I find that half the game is about staying out of trouble and not executing those weaker trades.

One good trade makes your day. Three weak ones, take it all away.

Makes sense? :) :p

Alas, I'm often not that good at writing either. But what you say makes great sense to me.
I'm guessing that great setups in other phases of this market, are just marginal recently... This is just a hard market. If we start a clear major trend up or down soon... just have to wait for it.
Won't have to pass so often!

Finally. Both ES and NQ broke their trend lines now.

Let`s see if this one is for real or if buyers step up one more time!

50% level at 49,25 first stop if lower?

Not sure that she spelled her rules out exactly.
I printed out a post she made on this tread in june of this year... Which starts
"1. Memorize these patterns until you can identify them immediately on a daily chart...."
followed by a total of 7 steps to create your own rules.

hope that is enough for you to find it.

Sorry, I have printed out a lot of her posts over time, but I didn't include the dates...

But towards the end of 2010 and the thru 2011 she repeats herself often in principle. And has her process well worked out. Just scan thru her posts.

If anyone knows more, feel free to add...
