If I understand right, NoD indicated somewhere that she tried to teach her rules to 20 or so people, becuase they asked. Not one person, for whatever reason... had the discipline to trade by the rules, or perhaps they were not the internalized rules for that individual.

I internalize that to try to work up my own rules, and prove them to myself. I still sometimes take trades on a whim or tip or just out of bordom. But I'm getting more business like and doing less of those things as time goes by.
i suspect it is just hard to follow rules. I don't think they are that hard to figure out.
Simply put, I strongly dislike the word 'rules'.
"Managing my trade" tho, that puts me in a pay attention mode! And is kind of fun.

Seems like the right bet now for a day trade. I also thought it looked weak, but we did find support at the 20-EMA and both ES/NQ is climbing a trend line still.

sell montiner sell!!

Quote from Hooti:

Writing succinctly is a skill I don`t posess, but in essence, what I meant is to lower your frequency and execute when everything lines up perfectly according to your methodology wihch should be based on back-testing and forward-testing.

As an example, there are many times I have an idea about where price is going, but I do not have something strong to lean on to provide me a low-risk entry. Those trades, I do my best to pass.

For me, and this is reflecting my current development mind you, I find that half the game is about staying out of trouble and not executing those weaker trades.

One good trade makes your day. Three weak ones, take it all away.

Makes sense? :) :p

Ask yourself what the objective of your trading operation is?

Making money or relieving boredom?

If you`re bored, you should find something to do while waiting for something to set-up. Watch some porn or whatever. :p

NoDoji was a frequent poster for several years. Do a search on her name.
No Book. She just worked her way from a major losing novice... lost half her account... like, 10's of thouands, but she shared quiet openly her journy and process of finding her way.

I may not end up trading in practice trading like her, but in concept, via her sharing she is a hero to me, and a mentor. I learned so much from her.

She is big on price action and a book by Al Brooks.

Oh no, I ah... have taken up sculpting. Was in a class with Lincoln Fox sculpting, and was thinking of taking up trading. He commented they were an excellent match.
I think he was right!

I'm in this for the challenge, and for profit. I've owned a mom and pop type business, I like the business end of things.
