Quote from ammo:
its not the trading its the insults, who needs it,the market will slap you around enough, then there is an air that you see what others don't,we are all watching the same movie, stop putting folks down, chopped your post just to point out ,since you seem to be blind to the fact, that you are stuck on yourself, forget the ego ..hard to believe anyone who hasn't learned to put the kabosh on his ego ,ever makes any money
Blotto: "My experience at ET is filled with irony. I leave myself completely out of my posts and just give suggestions based on sound reasoning and testable arguments with no mention of how I trade and my results. Outcome - people give me ad hominem arguments."
Blotto, as ammo pointed out and has pointed out as long as I've known him here, ego is a trader's undoing, either sooner or later.
There's a concept in psychology known as "projection": "a defense mechanism where a person subconsciously denies his or her own attributes, thoughts, and emotions, which are then ascribed to the outside world, usually to other people."
NoDoji just gives suggestions based on sound reasoning and testable arguments,
and elucidates how she trades and the results. Outcome - Blotto gives her ad hominum arguments and insults.
Blotto, I noticed you called a short entry on the CL thread that was nearly to the tick of an ascending upper trend line on the 5-minute chart. Seems eerily like you're using standard price action strategies, though you're fading rather than enjoing the with-trend ATM machine on the way up. Yet you've insulted me over sharing the same PA strategies with others.
What was missing (or seemed to be, but I didn't see your original post, only the part that was quoted), was where your protective stop would have been placed on that short and what your minimum profit target zone was. Would you have stopped out at 98.60, 99.00, 99.80? Would you have averaged down at those levels, expecting price would eventually regress?
I challenge you to spend a day in Skype with me and my fellow CL traders and demonstrate in real time your intraday market prowess. Then if you want to insult others, at least we can all say, "Yeah, he's a sonofabitch, but he sure can trade."
