Thanks snack. I was measuring from the low of 13:27 est. Maybe we have different data. I think you are, minimum, a 2 trick pony then?.:p

I guess I might be, LOL! Maybe 1.5 :) Really it's the same conditions I look for over and over. Sometimes price will pull back into the 50% and the TICK condition won't be met. With those I am likely to sit them out.

However, if the TICK condition looks good, and price isn't 100% there, I will oftentimes get in. I have been collecting data to see if I can lock down when price WON"T pull back to the 50%, for instance if the move is X points, or the X percentage of the daily range. We'll see if it ever ends up being something I can add to my plan.

Thanks 1.5 trickster.:D
How do you assess a situation like 13:57 est?. Price at the 50% but tick well beyond negative 750?. What weighs more?.

You know honestly I think price is probably king ultimately, but I don't have enough experience with the moves that don't match my normal conditions exactly. That's why I tend to sit out on some of these monster moves, and catch a chunk somewhere in the middle.

If I had to fish for an answer, I would say that the bearish TL on the TICK was totally toast, so as long as the low TICK wasn't a new low TICK for the day or something like that, it might be worth the risk.

Looking it at it now, it looks like that low TICK you described, although below-600, did not violate the bullish TL that had developed. Honestly though I am fishing a bit.

As suspected. Remains to see if this one gets ugly or if it`s just another deep pullback.

I seem to remember emg cancelling his ES one time last week only for us to crash just after. :)

I enjoyed the exchange bigsnack, thanks. A rarity because of my usual bad manners. I asked because it was a tough call and you bent your rules on the first pullback. I read it exactly the same at 13:57.:D
