Just check the message boards and you will see what retail traders did, most of them dumb money.
Whenever CNBC parades a bearish trade, you can bet smart money works a squeeze.
It is in no way a foolish comment, but years of fading the CNBC morons.

This is definitely the last time I ever post here.
Not a word of thanks for all the time I have put in and the numerous tips I have given.
Done.

I agree, I think it's possible to make a living taking the opposite side of whatever CNBC calls. I learned many years ago that there is nothing to be gained by looking to their commentary for market direction.

Sorry to see you go, I have enjoyed your posts, and insightful commentary on the markets. Good luck in your future trading endeavors.

Thanks can be procured from betting on your calls and the silence from your haters. You are betting on your calls right?

Buy1Sell2,

Do you have a final target in mind or you just trail the stop until taken out ?

Thank you

FoN

Trail the stop unless I see obvious reversal. Right now is not the time to get short on a swing trade, but if already in a position trade like myself, I can continue to ride with full position. I never want take partial off and limit my gain possibility.

letting a winning trade give back 150 points of profit is not my definition of impressive. Once again without a fixed profit target, scaling out would have produced more total profit for him

His trade is still open, therefore, is premature to judge what could had been better.

If we take the 666 lows and he's still holding your theory not very good.

Sure there are things he could have done to maximize profits, but let's be realistic here, there are no trading Gods, there's just reality.

He's averaging up too, which is the right way to do things and he will exit on full position or even more, which is again, the right way to do things.

It's just that, well, people cant do it because it's too damn hard.

I know you got your style, he's got his style, I got mine, others got theirs, what's important is to remain humble and respectful along the way.

Shorting the top and covering at the bottom is not how it's done, because that's impossible. However, letting your winners run with as much size as possible, not less, is imho the way to do it.

Just my opinion, im in awe, and thought about showing my respects to someone taking the time to show how its done with full clarity.

1@ buy1sell2's view of market direction is good
His entry and exits are not, the large stops are in place because he does not know how to correctly time the markets. [position timeframe]

2@ volentes view of market direction is as good, his entries and exits are much better. [swing frame]

3@ other traders in this thread are short term traders, i haven't watched their trades cause i don't trade short term. [minute frame]

drawdown explanations

1 Position timeframe has to go through at least **1 swing drawdown** to reach its position.
2 Swing timeframe has to go through 0 drawdowns, because its one swing.
3 minute frame don't make money.

The 2 traders above both make money 110% , pick your style

Napolean Hill discusses how criticism has very little use, and is significantly damaging. I think journal integrity should also be upheld by the community voicing disapproval of personal attacks. It is often futile to defend oneself in a forum, so the end result is leaving instead. The community needs to set the tone for the culture. Respectful disagreement can be something which can be learned from.
