This is terrifying news when thinking of the future of our economy. I'll admit, I didn't think they would do it for quite some time. The Fed is already claiming there is an error in their calculation. They better get the spin going to contain the damage. Clearly some were privy to the downgrade news early with all the rumors floating around this week.

I honestly didn't think they would do it. After they reached an agreement not to alow to default, iI thought they'd drop the idea. after all S&P has within the last few years has major credibility issues. what this means to the stock and bond market, I have not a clue.

What do we think about this downgrade news then?
More carnage next week? Or was the news already being priced in by the people 'in the know' who knew the downgrade news was coming and were selling all week?

all these personal attacks, arguing about who's right, who's wrong..is only going to ruin the thread..

Think most of the news is priced in as its obvious it was leaked before hand due to last week monster unusual activity.

Looking for 1120-1130 to buy and possibly redeem past losses.
