Quote from JSHINV:

But upon occassion houses act under tremendous fear and panic also.

I was thinking of more of the outliers like 10/87 or the crash of late 08 carrying into the first quarter of 09. But, in general I agree with your premise. Even if we win, we are just riding coat tails of the big boys.

This is a discussion for the "scaling thread", but I will make just one point here about this and then will not address again-- Each of these rallies, pullbacks etc is not averaging, but rather each leg is to be treated as one trade with it's own stop etc. :)
sorry for earlier comment ,not beating on u personally b1s2,there has been a lot of folks who have never tried averaging,or couldn't because they don't have the skill, in your case,i don't think you have the time........(others),and don't have the knowledge/experience to make judgements on it,these folks should just stick to what they know and pipe down..it's a friendly gesture to expose your trading style/position on here and share, and it should be respected ,appreciated, there is money on the line and it isn't easy ,there are many great traders who rarely or never post here any more for that reason..and the few who are still posting are getting more infrequent
