Quote from aquarian1:

Friday is a classic losing day for me - so three weeks ago I decided to sleep in every Friday and not trade - therefore I can proudly report I didn't lose any money!

and on a continued success thread I have also recoup the bulk of my sleep deficit!

To bad about the neg start but you pulled it out of the hole so - good stuff
-- Especially on CROOKS DAY = friday.

this is the day the market makers reserve for fleecing the sheeple - so being positive today is great.
:)

I need that first trade to get the juices flowing. Although in red fairly deep at one point, yep, buta quick assessment of the scenario unfolding before me I pretty much figured a favorable retrace was in the cards. At least 5 points retrace (i was ~ in red 10 at one point) Soo 5 points loss on the trade was what i fugured was worst case, and B/E at best, after the favorable retrace i knew was coming my way. That's what i was looking at realistically. A loss on one trade somewhere b/w 5 and zero. i know i can make that much back in an hour of scalping :D

Anyway, thats what was going thru my head at the time.

Jackson all your trades the last 2 days you were taking 1/2-1 pt gains and loses and then you let a trade go 10 pts against you?God bless you if you can make money trading like a bat out of hell with retail commish.

I'm just a beginner who had a good week but it was a pleasure to see a few amazing traders trade this week in this journal. All very different styles but equally impressive. Action Jackson scalping like a tornado, ESDreamer caching the bottom and exiting near the high, NAD giving bull conviction with his reads, and a few others I forget now, great week of trading, hope next week brings us all good fortune.

Just read that Nasdaq broke decade highs or something like that.

This is when it becomes hard for me to keep on buying, even if the market looks strong, which in turn always makes me miss breakouts.

Going to try and see if I can actually defeat that barrier this time.

Unless we reverse it all then I get defeated anyway.

Just thinking out loud.

Quote from JSHINV:

We've pretty much been range bound all year.

That is true although most technicians would consider it consolidation below resistance and a pause for the next leg up because the last move before the consolidation was up so the most probable move now is for the previous trend to resume.

Had the Head and Shoulders acted as a reversal pattern the neck had to become Resistance. Yet what we have now is a retest of the right shoulder and a rejection of a retest of the neckline.
