How do you contain your risk?. Did you have a stoploss on that trade, or only adds-on-buys-if-necessary?. Did you use options to contain your maximum risk?. Or simply you played very very small % risk to your equity and therefore the 9 points you made account for very little % ROR as well?.
I've discussed this last week. I use 10-15 point stops on day trades, 20-30 on swing trades. Since this trade started out as a day trade, my stop was at 1283.5 initially, and then trailed the market higher. However, since my target during RTH session never materialized, the position converted to a swing trade. Nevertheless, my stop remained in the mid 1380's in the overnight session. I was prepared to add - only if necessary
- should prices drop below 1290. If an add occurred, my stops would have been re adjusted according to the average price of the position, not based on the entry price of the individual trades.Yesterday I had issues with the care and feeding of my trading station.

We are setting up for a retest of the low at 1292 in a day or two before we ramp up through all the short sellers squeezing them again.
