Three important rules of the ES Journal are worth mentioning here:

1) Personal attacks are not allowed

2) Foul language is not permitted

3) Trades posted without stops are disregarded for journal integrity purposes

--Thank you for your consideration-- Izzy

ps --it is not required to post trades here---discussion only is great too-- a history of trades that are posted with huge stops only to be exited very soon are disregarded as well etc.

Thanks! Izzy :)

Secondly so I get the sideways chart thingy. If I might indulge you with a couple of questions? So the prices without volume at price eg., 1300 on ES represent Support, yes? What do you call them valleys? And nips are peaks with big volume at price?

He can say what he wants after the fact and the trade worked out. 98% of futures traders lose money yet 98% of the paper traders of et make money. People post there entries and exits on here but the chance ofthem holding threw the ups and downs in the real world are zero.those are the facts. But the board is entertainment

So is that why you entertain us with trolling with all of your different personalities mr millionaire trader?

What are the odds that 4 different posters would use the same exact terms such as notes, green, overides and assent ?

Quote from monstercat:

robert 56 i disagree. i have 3 remote platforms and during heavy vol assent is the only 1 that sticks. i'd also suggest dsl over cable as there's many notes on here why dsl is better. pt blank when vol rockets like tuesday with the fed assent is having problems. this has been a problem for 2 months now. it has to be increased traffic from adding many new traders and more vol from the exchange. also others can address this but wether you have 8 mb download or 31 mb from your cable modem it means zero difference in the speed of your quotes. your ram is much more important for speed. the difference between the 2 is like the difference between a porsche or ferrari

Quote from joeyata1:

it's funny reading all these notes. traders out there every day from et know the scams happening in the market and call it like they see it. yet on tv i've really yet to see 1 bear int he last month who says the market can fall 10%. in many ways outside all the kinky stocks rising 400% this feels like 1999 watching tv as it feels like we can never drop as the talking heads on tv keep coming up with reasons why this will keep going

Quote from john12:

Ken more i've seen your bs assine notes on the es journal board and you're a fuckin joke. I can't stand fucks like you.People who brag but our total piss ants.

Quote from brandon12:

don what economy of scales are you giving me?the truth is don it cost's bright nothing to extend me massive leverage. sure you have to "put" up your money but i'm sure you're being paid a 5% or so money market rate on your money with few traders holding over night. and the ones who hold over night pay a nice fee. i laugh when i read all these people with different prop houses extending leverage like its a big deal. you're still making 5% on your cash balances and making huge money on overides. don to this day reading 10,000's of thousands of notes i can hardly remember more than a few traders who are with bright. and since i believe you're a very honest straight forward guy it has to be because of your very high commission rates. sure you provide some other services but when it comes down to it's the difference between paying .005 and .002 for traders doing 2,3 and 4 million shares a month is huge. . with the lack of volatilty the last few years commissions can be a very huge part of profit margins.

i don't know what all you guys are gettin g bent out of shape for. i ahve green and co do mine and the form seems to ahve a place for both gains and commissions

Quote from monstercat:

datacrunch i've been filing mtm and as a trader for 9 years now. i flag the investor and mtm accounts on my return. THE REASON I HAVE DIFFERENT BROKERS FOR EACH TYPE OF ACCOUNT IS BECAUSE I WANT TO KEEP THEM SEPERATE IN THE IRS EYES. LETS SAY I HAD 2 ETRADE ACCOUNTS. 1 MTM AND 1 SCH D. LETS SAY I HAD A HUGE GAIN IN THE SCD D ACCOUNT AND DIDN'T SELL TILL THE NEXT YEAR. THE IRS COULD SAY WAIT A SECOND WERE GOING TO CLASSIFY THIS AS A MTM ACCOUNT. again this is done for safety purposes than more of the letter of the law. much of the things on trader taxation are not writtten in stone such as shifting gains from your mtm income to offset your sch d expenses so you don't show a lose. green and co developed much of these theories such as piles of footnotes and it works.

Quote from john12:

90% of prop shops give k-1's. you sign papers to become a b class non voting member of the llc and get a k-1. ask don bright he'll explain it. as i said everything i printed from green and co's website is law period. its not maybe or this are that its law. green is on every tv show and print publication on earth and is the leader on all trader taxes. fist of all understand the laws. 475 mark to market accounting means one must mark to market all trades at year end wether a loss or gain and pay taxes on it even if you don't sell. example is i'm in 10k ibm at $115 and it closes year end at $120 which means i have a tax gain of $50k. my cost basis then becomes $120 on ibm stock. the only people that pay fica taxes on stock sales are dealers like market makers that carry inventory and if you incorporate you pay fica when you withdraw.but the good thing is one can segregate accounts and say 1 account is long term subject to the better long term rates and one is short term and mtm accounting. i assure you all i've said today is the law. go to a few sites like tradertaxes.com and read up on it

Quote from brandon12:

it looks like leanord fodsky isn't even a cpa? i've been using green for many years and to put it simply he's the babe ruth of trader taxes period. never had one problem and look anywere and he's quoted. but he's very very expensive so i'd recommend after you learn a little to find a local cpa and groom him to do yours. thats my step next year as i basically know how to do it.

Thanks buddy that helps.

Looks to me like 1295 and 1272 are in the cards in a week. These AH hour moves have been testing the S/R levels not so much RTH. Great vol though with great returns.

Thanks again.
