Obscure reference to the Simpsons: Monty Burns has just shown his self-grandizing movie at the Springfield movie fest and was getting booed.

When he asks Smithers if they're booing him, he replies "No, sir...they're saying boo-urns."
He then asks the crowd, and they continue to boo him, save for

Hans Moleman, who says "Well, I was saying boo-urns."

An exclamation, used in disappointment or excitement
"I lost the tickets to the concert."
"Ah, boo-urns."

Shorts will be squeezed and markets to new highs. Expecting a reversal at that new high, but not before.

Thank you all those who have thanked me and wished me well. I don't have time to reply to everyone, and in terms of methodology it isn't simple enough that I can give a 1 paragraph answer.

For those wanting enough hints to construct something similar for themselves, read posts by "cheese".

(and btw the Fed is irrelevant...its machinations are used as an excuse by poor traders why either their trade didn't work, or to justify their lack of knowledge as to what is going on. nobody here receives Fed information before the general public so it is not a logical part of any strategy - except getting flat during announcements if the additional volatility is not desired)

And no, as others have realised I was not bullish yesterday "after the fact".

Your logic is astounding... it has nothing to do with prediction or a hindsight bias. How is the Fed irrelevant when some OMC action results in a quick 15 handles? Bernanke and QE1/2/3 was irrelevant?

I don't know you from Adam and you may know how to trade (who knows), but my guess is that you're 25yo and have been doing this all of 18 months.

1/2 a pt profit ....
