As a strictly afternoon trader at the moment, it is very unpleasant to open my charts and watch the beautiful moves that often happen from the open. Today was one of those days
I managed to extract one point today on one trade. Not bad with a daily range of 29 points, no?
I was satisfied with my execution of the trade. I waited for price to close outside my designated "dead zone" at 1275-1278.
Short @ 1275. Stop @ 1277. I placed a limit buy @ 1272 at the current daily lows, anticipating at least a test of those, but possibly even lower.
When price started moving in my favour, I started trailing my stops and trailed it to 1274 and got stopped out
If only I had been away from my computer a few more minutes and let my trade work out
Actually, I believe I made the exact same mistake last Friday. I need to learn to trust my targets and let the trade breathe.
+1,0 points for the day.
+2,5 points for the week.
