ammo, how many cars do you trade max ? just curious. because the way i do scale-in when a position goes against me is by buying/selling fx in increments of 20k euro (since i have a small account) and i can go upto 5 times, but usually i go only 2-3 times. My last scale-ins are typically of larger size around 40k or so.

40,40k max loss..i dont like to hedge, just avg in and out and watch ,wait

wow that sounds pretty impressive. in euro contract terms, 40 contracts translate to 4.25 million. At a max leverage of 20, that will need 200k+ account size to trade. I sure hope I will reach there someday.

Btw, if you don't mind how long have you been trading and how much did you make last year (its ok if you won't divulge this)? How many years have you been profitable ? Do you trade for yourself or for a prop. futures house in C-city?

Good to know, so you are a guy with 25 yrs of experience. Wow! I have only 3 years of non-continuous trading experience.

It might be a stupid one but let me ask. did any of the guys who started with you (lets say 84-88 time period) have become really successful in trading and have been able to make a fortune --- lets say 100 million or so Net worth ? If you know some of these guys (and I sure hope that you do), what they did differently ?

only a few ever have a losing year ,just like any other job, after you've been at it a while it becomes repetitive and you make fewer mistakes
