Covered short @ 10.25 +2. Should have had continuation to lows sooner, support came in @ 09.75.

Leaving money on the table but not going to be greedy.

EDIT: And THERE WE GO...LOL!! Big spike down on large vol, gotta love it!! :p

never fails! :(

I think LOD is done. We going to go up from here. If I am wrong, it will tell me to trust my market read a little less.

I was so wrong

spx is on day 9 of a possible 10 day run, means we could/will hold this up,try to pop it higher til monday...don't see vol's comments here but something to the tune of fatten up the calls might be running thru his head

well, i should have known...as soon as i sold some 1210 puts to cover more contracts

anyone use price histogram? i brought it up for the first time in IB. 1211 has the heaviest volume today

That's funny, I got a sell signal at 11.00 right before that move down, but didn't take it. It was the second pullback in the previous move down, so I didn't pull the trigger. Then it dropped like a rock, guess the game worked on me.

Two winners no losers today for plus four points. Think I'll call it a day and leave it in the capable hands of others on this thread.

Good profits and happy trading!!

You're not paying attention... :D :p

Ammo [Edit] and JoshDance are[/Edit :D] the resident experts on MP

The profile will change slightly depending on whether you use RTH or ETH

In other news, NQ (which so far had been holding ES up - or maybe just in my imagination) has started to bend over

Missed that short at 13 (thought it was going a bit higher :( )

Still keeping an open mind (up volume x 2 down volume)

IMV divergence is information; so is lack of divergence.

TICK is also an oscillator, so it helps to find lower risk entries when price isn't offering any significant pullback (by entering on a pullback in the indicator with an otherwise insanely tight stop)

Thanks Picaso--will keep it on my charts for now and continue to watch. But for me the verdict is still out! :D

Also known as a volume profile (or if using TPOs, a market profile). When I post these shots from time to time, that's what you're seeing.

EDIT and yes, ammo is the resident expert -- (just wish he'd use a different platform for his charts ;)
just a pedestrian like everyone else, using different terminology, that chart you posted either extends in direction of trend or fills cleavage and tests lower nip,the only edge is if you ride it for the fill and test, you know where to look for continuation or reverse ...it helps to compare it to the spx which only trades regular trading hours, the pattern is not there ,it's early ..http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3324059&highlight=double+nip#post3324059
