Ninja Trader doesn't include market internals. A good, reliable, and free service that does, is freestockcharts.com.

FWIW, some time ago I was researching basking trading automation techniques and one of the filters in one I spent some time on was the daily movement of Uvol/Dvol normalized. The signals, I swear, though if you don't research this yourself you'll ever deny it's not true, are an entire day lagged. I wouldn't trade that internal against the trend in momentum as you would MACD and the like. It's good confirmation continuation, though.

Just to clarify for anyone not familiar with it -- ninjatrader provides historical backfill data if you have a broker data feed for live data, for example. So, they don't provide any real time data, so of course they don't provide any market internals.

Many people who use NT use Kinetick which is rebranded IQFeed (I personally use IQF), and they provide many market internals.[/QUOTE]

1st big blew out trade - above "out of it" trade = -ve profit

Shorted to the top. [/B]

volente's strategy: Adding to losers, cutting off your winners short. Changing stops when it feels too painful to cut the loss. It is a strategy from hell with big blow ups.

Better the Devil you know...

(I'm not posting a "chart" of the "big blow ups" in order not to piss off Magna :D )

Doug Kass at Seabreeze has been shorting since yesterday morning, piling it up since then... last week the same thing happened, and 10 minutes before the close a big reversal happened (like it's uncommon anymore...;))

I'm glad I'm not the only one that noticed.

The markings of a trader trading to be right but losing money.
