Can someone tell me how to read a chart with the volume indicator being on the left side of the screen horizontally ?

Also how do I set this up in NinjaTrader, and is this better than traditional vertical volume bars ?

Ammo, you have two options:

1) Click on the scale icon and set to "Percentage View"

anyone using tos know how to adjust this graph so they are intertwined

Hey ammo

You can do it in Prophet. Go to Chart Settings in the Prophet menu bar, then either in Left Scale or Comparison Chart. You can do % scales or $ scales.

(I saw this before, forgot to answer during lunch)

NeverAlone,

In any Ninja chart: right-click > Indicators > Volume zones (customize at will)

"Vertical" volume bars: volume at time

"Horizontal" volume bars: volume at price

"Traditional" market profile: time at price

Neither is better nor worse, it depends on how you trade, how you use and what you wanna do with it. Do a search on "market profile" and keep an eye on Ammo's posts

You also have a bunch of free videos on MP here: http://www.marketdelta.com/Market_Profile

anyone else noticing the divergence between spx and spy seems quite large at the moment.
last few years it looks like it widens at tops and narrows at bottoms, currently 8, percentage points apart ,apr high was 7 percentage points
